Dear Friends:

The faculty and staff of the University of California, Irvine, Department of Radiological Sciences would like to welcome you to our website. Our credo is to provide outstanding patient care within the unique educational and research environment of the UC Irvine School of Medicine and Medical Center.

In our department, we have the equipment and supplies to ensure an effective and efficient university radiology department that offers all imaging modalities including conventional radiography, angiography, ultrasonography, CT, MRI and nuclear medicine. Beyond the diagnostic capabilities, we have faculty who are experienced in interventional radiologic procedures within the subspecialty fields needed for advanced treatment of human ailments.

We take our teaching responsibilities very seriously. We have the books, teaching files, CD-ROMs, slides, lectures, and facilities that are needed for learning. Most of all, we have faculty -- second to none -- who will take a personal interest and devote their time to teaching. The following is a list of the educational opportunities in the Department of Radiological Sciences:

  • Residency in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Clinical Fellowships in Breast Imaging, Cardiovascular and Thoracic Imaging, Cross-Sectional (Body) Imaging, Diagnostic Neuroradiology, Musculoskeletal (Orthopedic) Radiology, Nuclear Radiology (Molecular Imaging), and Vascular and Interventional Radiology.
  • Visiting Fellowships in the following areas: Cardiovascular and Thoracic Imaging, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, CT, Musculoskeletal Radiology, and Neuroradiology/Head & Neck Radiology

The Department offers research opportunities in clinical radiological sciences under the direction of our senior faculty in all the subspecialties of radiology.
