Research in the Department of Radiological Sciences is performed on the medical campus at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center in the city of Orange and on the main university campus in the city of Irvine, as well as at the affiliated Long Beach VA Medical Center.

Active research includes clinical studies and applications in all subspecialties of radiology, as well as research into the basic science of medical imaging physics. Research is performed within the clinical facilities of the department as well as within associated Laboratories and Centers:
